JACKSON COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — A man is facing abduction and sexual assault charges after meeting a girl from West Virginia online and bringing them back to his home in Pickerington, Ohio, according to the Ravenswood Police Department.
The Ravenswood PD said Corbin Harman, 21, was arrested after the girl was reported missing in the morning hours of Sept. 20. They said a vehicle that belonged to Harman was seen outside the girl’s home.
The Pickerington Police Department later found Harman and the girl, according to the Ravenswood PD. They said Harman convinced her to skip school to spend the day with him, and that he allegedly had “sexual contact” with her before getting to Pickerington.
Pickerington is just outside Columbus and around an hour and a half away from Ravenswood.
Harman is facing charges of abduction of a person for illicit purposes and sexual assault in the second degree — forcible compulsion and will face more charges in Ohio, according to Ravenswood police.
The West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation shows Harman is in the South Central Regional Jail on a $200,000 surety/cash bond.
