Georgia Ports fully reopens operations on Friday morning as workers reach tentative agreement

The Georgia ports will fully reopen on Friday, October 4th.  They received a joint statement Thursday evening from the USMX/ILA on the Master Contract: “The International Longshoremen’s Association and the United States Maritime Alliance, Ltd. have reached a tentative agreement on wages and have agreed to extend the Master Contract until January 15, 2025 to return to the bargaining table to negotiate all other outstanding issues. Effective immediately, all current job actions will cease and all work covered by the Master Contract will resume.” As a result, the Georgia Ports’ operations will resume Friday morning, October 4th with truck gates at 6:00 am at Garden City Terminal and 8:00 am at the Ocean Terminal. In addition to gates, vessel operations will begin between 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and rail operations start at 7:00 am. The Georgia Ports thanks you for your patience during this three-day work stoppage. The Georgia Ports Authority, Gateway Terminals and the ILA look forward to reopening our facilities and providing the world-class service the Port of Savannah and the Port of Brunswick are known for.  Please follow updates on www.gaports.com
