A sweet treat sold in Colorado has been recalled over the potential for causing a “life-threatening” health risk to certain consumers.
Denver-based Hammond’s Candies issued a recall of its 4-ounce bags of Dark Chocolate Filled Mini Waffle Cones after it was determined they could contain milk that was undeclared. Because of this, the products could pose the risk of a “serious or life-threatening allergic reaction” in consumers with an allergy or severe sensitivity,” according to a recall notice shared October 3 by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration .
The product, packaged in a resealable bag with the UPC -6 91355 90513 5 and item number FC23212. The products included in the recall feature the product code LN0525453 with “Use By” date of 03/30/2025 and the product code LN0525453 with “Use By” date of 05/20/2025.
The snack was distributed to most states around the country online at Hammond’s Candies website and Amazon and in retail stores, including: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Wyoming and Washington D.C.
