In Massachusetts, Sandy Paws Rescue, one-year-old Leo is one lucky pup. Who can even imagine this handsome and very smart shepherd and husky blend was about to be euthanized at the Texas shelter who had picked him up as a stray? It wasn’t because Leo was injured, aggressive or too shy; the shelter was simply overcrowded, and there was just no room. Tragically, overcrowding at shelters has become an ongoing issue, and even the most beautiful, the young, the old and the sweetest dogs are placed on the euthanasia list and then led down the lonely hallway for their very last walk.
