Man fatally shot in Greensboro, 2 critically injured on Meadowville Lane, police say

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Greensboro police began a homicide investigation after a fatal shooting this week, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release.

Greensboro police, Greensboro fire officials and Guilford County EMS responded to a shooting call around 7:07 p.m. in the 100 block of Meadowville Lane where they found three injured men in the parking lot.

All three appeared to have gunshot wounds.

Markese Taliafero, 29, died at the scene. Police have notified his next of kin.

The other two men were taken by ambulance to a hospital with critical injuries.

Details about any possible suspects or motives is not available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

This is the city’s 30 th homicide of 2024.
