PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — Authorities say a man was arrested in Vancouver for identity theft just hours after appearing on Everyday Northwest on Portland’s CW as a model.

According to Vancouver police, officers received a report from a cell phone store after a suspect presented a fake ID and business credentials.

The suspect, later identified as Jonathan M. Alvarado, secured a $30,000 line of credit and got $13,000 worth of phones, iPads and services before saying he’d be back later in the week for more items, police said.
