The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in Northeast. On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at approximately 1:03 p.m., officers responded for a shooting in the 900 block of Eastern Avenue, Northeast. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female inside a vehicle, unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene. After all lifesaving efforts failed, the female was pronounced dead.
