Three hospitalized, one dead after crash in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Lane County deputies are investigating a crash that damaged two cars and sent four people to the hospital, with one dying of their injuries. Dispatch records say medics and law enforcement responded to the area of Bob Straub Parkway and south 57th Place at about 10:16 a.m. on October 3 for a report of a motor vehicle collision with injuries. Lane County deputies said they arrived to find a Buick sedan driving north on Bob Straub Parkway had struck a Toyota Prius as the Prius entered the intersection from 57th Street to turn south on Bob Straub Parkway.
