Tragic Bus Crash in Pakistan Kills 7

A speeding bus carrying wedding guests crashed into a ravine in Pakistan on Thursday, killing at least seven people. The accident occurred near Quetta, the capital of Balochistan Province.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The injured victims, including 17 who were critically injured, were taken to a local hospital.

Pakistan has a high rate of road accidents due to poorly maintained highways and lax traffic enforcement. Three bus crashes in August alone claimed the lives of 60 people.

The latest crash is a reminder of the dangers faced by travelers in Pakistan. Two other bus crashes in August killed 32 people, both caused by driver negligence. A third crash in Iran claimed the lives of 28 Pakistani pilgrims.
