Category: Local Heroes. Who is the Copley-Fairlawn grad competing on ‘Jeopardy’ tonight?

There’s a new “Jeopardy” champ from Northeast Ohio.

And this one hails from Summit County.

Ryan Manton, who on the TV quiz show identifies himself as a system analyst from Columbus, has close ties to Greater Akron.

Manton is a 2011 graduate of Copley-Fairlawn schools.

He is on a four-game winning streak and so far has won $83,179 on the popular quiz show.

Manton credits honing his “Jeopardy” skills by his participation in a bar trivia league.

And his wife, Lauren, appeared once on “Jeopardy,” too, about three years ago.

When will Ryan Manton be on Jeopardy next?

In Greater Akron, “Jeopardy” airs at 7:30 p.m. on WOIO Channel 19 in Cleveland.

On Friday night, Manton will defend his streak against an executive director from Williamstown, Massachusetts, and a content manager from Riverside, Connecticut.
