Democrat plans to break through Republican territory, secure District 77 seat

Cornelius Fowler plans to become to rare Democrat to break through in a Southwest Florida state race.

Three candidates are squaring off over a Florida House of Representatives district that represents many of the working-class families in Lee County.

Fowler is facing incumbent Tiffany Esposito (R) and Joshua Krakow (Libertarian).

Issues in the district range from growth management and planning to septic-to-sewer needs and transportation infrastructure.
