Commuters in Durham encountered significant delays yesterday afternoon after a cement truck rear-ended a passenger vehicle on N.C. Highway 147, resulting in a complete blockage of the northbound lanes. The Durham Police Department, as per WRAL, arrived on scene at South Briggs Avenue shortly after the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. Following the collision, the northbound lanes of N.C. 146 remained closed from I-885 North to Briggs Avenue, well into the afternoon.
