Enjoy food, music and dancing at 61st Sacramento Greek Festival

(FOX40.COM) — For more than six decades, the Sacramento Greek Festival has celebrated the culture, food and traditions of the region’s Grecian community.

The festival returns for its 61st year starting Friday at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in East Sacramento.

All of the authentic Greek and Mediterranean-style food is prepared by volunteers who share their home recipes.

The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday at 600 and 616 Alhambra Blvd.

General admissions is $5 for ages 13 and over, those 12 and under enter for free. Visitors can also get free entry if they bike over to the entrance on 30th Street.

Along with offerings of traditional Greek food, there will also be live music, dancing and tours of the church each day of the festival.
