This initiative is a crucial part of the city’s long-term strategy to provide affordable housing and support for those experiencing homelessness. Below are the designated locations for these tiny home developments:

  1. Cerone: This site, located on land owned by the Valley Transportation Authority, will provide approximately 200 beds.
  2. Cherry Avenue: Situated in the Blossom Valley neighborhood, this site will accommodate 96 individuals on water district land.
  3. Monterey/Branham: Another significant location, this site will offer around 200 beds.
  4. Rue Ferrari: Currently home to 124 residents, this site will undergo a $30 million expansion. The expansion is expected to be completed by September 2025 and will add 144 beds through 72 single-occupancy rooms and 36 double-occupancy rooms.
  5. Via Del Oro: This site will host 150 individuals in 75 units, built on a parcel leased from developer and philanthropist John Sobrato for just $1 a year.
