3 unaccounted for after fire destroys Montclair home in Prince William County

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Fire gutted a home in the Montclair area early Friday morning.

Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue (PWCDFR) said crews went to the 15700 block of Piedmont Pl. after emergency dispatchers received calls about a house fire.

When firefighters arrived, they found flames and smoke engulfing the two-story home.

As crews worked to put out the fire, they also tried to account for the people who live inside the house.

At a briefing Friday morning, PWCDFR said some people who were in the basement of the home were able to make it out. Crews still were working to account for three people as of 10 a.m.
