Taste of the Ozarks: Bacon Apple Popovers

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Here’s a sweet and savory fall treat. 2 cans crescent roll dough sheets, cut into four long strips. Add a slice of bacon on top of each strip of dough. Layer thinly sliced apples, round side up. Roll the bacon and apple dough strip with dough on the outside, making the shape of a rose. Add to a muffin tin with other strips of dough and ingredients. Melt butter in a microwave. Add maple syrup and cinnamon. Stir to combine. Drizzle Apple Rolls with butter-cinnamon mixture. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
