What’s the most popular Halloween candy in Arkansas?

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — It is officially spooky season in the Natural State, meaning Arkansans are getting ready to stock up on candy for the big night at the end of the month.

But what candy will Arkansas trick-or-treaters get on Halloween?

CandyStore.com released its annual list of the most popular Halloween candy in every state based on the company’s sales data from its 17 years of service.

In Arkansas, the top Halloween candy is Butterfinger, along with Massachusetts, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin.

CandyStore.com says it estimates M&M’s, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Sour Patch Kids will be the most popular Halloween candies in 2024.

The often controversial candy you may love or hate, candy corn, is the most popular in two states, Maryland and Utah.

M&M’s was the top candy in nine states, the most of any candy. It is the top candy in California, Washington D.C., Iowa, Kansas, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont and Washington.
