BOUNTIFUL, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A woman has passed away in the hospital after suffering a medical event while driving on I-15 in Bountiful Thursday afternoon, according to Utah Highway Patrol.
Shortly before 2 p.m. on Oct. 3, initial police investigation indicates that a woman suffered a medical issue while driving southbound on I-15 in Bountiful, according to Lt. Cameron Roden, UHP.
The woman was driving near the 500 West exit on I-15 when her vehicle sideswiped the right barrier, then crossed all lanes to the left and sideswiped the left barrier, sliding along the barrier until it came to a stop.
Police responded to the scene and initiated CPR. The woman was then taken to the hospital where she later died.
The woman’s identity has not been released at this time.
