Gunman shoots victim, 27, during argument on Brooklyn street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a suspect who shot a man on a Brooklyn street Wednesday afternoon after picking a fight.

A 27-year-old man was near Logan and Fulton streets in Cypress Hills at about 1:20 p.m. when he was approached by the suspect, who police described as a man with a medium build.

The suspect began a verbal argument with the victim that escalated into a physical altercation. Police said he then pulled out a gun and discharged multiple rounds.

The victim was struck once in the lower back, and the suspect fled on foot running westbound down Fulton Street.

EMS transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.

Photos of the suspect released on Friday show him clad in a white hooded sweatshirt, white sneakers and black sweatpants with depictions of skeletal leg bones. In the images, he is carrying a small black bag.
