FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The Fresno Police Department is investigating a suspicious death after a body was found in a central Fresno field.
According to police, the deceased person is in the late stages of decomposition. Officers were already on the scene clearing homeless from the area of Hammond Avenue and Doon Way, when around 9:45 a.m. an unhoused person approached officers and told them about the body.
The coroner is on scene and will determine the cause of death.
No other information about the body discovered was released by the Fresno Police Department.
