CHICAGO — A Riot Fest attendee who suffered a medical incident during the festival has died, organizers announced on Friday afternoon.
In a post on X , organizers shared details about the incident adding that the individual who died suffered a medical incident in an area near the Ferris wheel and the on-site medical team provided aid.

It is unclear when the medical incident unfolded but organizers said the attendee died on Thursday.
In the post, organizers addressed speculations about whether the medical incident happened during the band Slayer’s performance and said it was unrelated and happened before the set.

“We ask our community to come together, support one another, and keep those affected in their thoughts,” a festival spokesperson said on Friday.
Organizers have not identified the individual involved and said no further details about the incident would be shared out of respect for his family.
