Packers Offensive Star Sends Message to Team Amid Dispute Over Playing Time

One of the downsides to the Green Bay Packers having so many gifted, young offensive stars is it’s often difficult to distribute reps and targets evenly.

And that’s the reason why one Packers receiver isn’t happy about his reduced role in the team’s offense, and it’s also why he skipped practice on Thursday and Friday, according to SI.com’s Bill Huber .

Not only has Romeo Doubs no-showed the last two days of practice, but he’s also officially listed as doubtful for the Packers’ game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters on Friday Doubs’ status was still day-to-day.

The 24-year-old WR also sent a more pointed message to the Green Bay as he scrubbed the team from his social media. The bio on his X account now reads “NEW BEGINNINGS” with two crown emojis, while his Instagram was wiped clean of all photos and his bio just says “Athlete.”

Doubs choosing to die on this lack-of-playing-time hill is a bit precarious considering he leads all Packers offensive players in offensive snaps with 132 — 11 more than the next-closest player — and he’s currently second on the team in receptions (12), receiving yards (169), yards per game (42.3) and receptions for first downs (9), and he’s third in targets (20).
