Insurance companies helping customers file storm damage claims at Home Depot in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Insurance companies gathered at the Home Depot on Bobby Jones Expressway today to help out those affected by Hurricane Helene.

Companies like Progressive, USAA, Allstate and more were out there helping customers file damage claims and answering any questions they may have.

“Here in Augusta, or Georgia, basically the whole southeast region, we got a lot of devastation. So we want to make sure that as a company we’re here to help them with any questions they may have,” said Bryn Wardell, the Senior Claims Manager with Progressive. “If they need letters for things like FEMA to help out with, we can help them out there. If it’s something in regards to is trees covered, or when is trees covered, we’ll be able to answer those questions for them while they’re here.”

One USAA customer is thankful for this opportunity.

“Some people might have never filed a claim, this has been a humongous disaster for our area that we didn’t think a hurricane would ever come to Augusta, for them to be out here and helping each person through the process, it’s really great,” said Tina Hicks.
