Fulton County man allegedly strangled to death at Cobb County Jail, Fulton County sheriff says

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A Fulton County man is dead after being strangled to death at the Cobb County Jail, according to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office. Horace Gibbs, 63, was found “unresponsive” inside his cell early Friday morning, according to the sheriff’s office. After his death was ruled a homicide by the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office, his cellmate, 52-year-old Ernest Johnson, was charged with felony murder and aggravated assault strangulation.
