The postseason is on the horizon for several Greater Lansing teams.

Boys soccer, girls golf and boys tennis teams in the area and throughout the state begin Michigan High School Athletic Association tournament play next week.

And there are several teams who enter the second season with momentum. Division 1 top-ranked Okemos girls golf is among those teams and captured its 14ths consecutive league title when it finished as the CAAC Blue champion this week. The Wolves secured that league title by beating Grand Ledge by five strokes at the final CAAC Blue jamboree Wednesday at Hawk Hollow.

Mason boy soccer also has momentum and captured the CAAC Gold Cup title Thursday by edging DeWitt in penalty kicks in what was a matchup of top-10 ranked teams in Division 2. The No. 7-ranked Bulldogs extended their unbeaten streak to 10 games with their win over No. 3 DeWitt. CAAC Red champion Mason has handed CAAC Blue champion DeWitt its lone two losses this season and there’s a chance for a third meeting between the programs in the state tournament.
