Crash prompts overnight closure of northbound Colorado 119 in Gilpin County

DENVER (KDVR) — Northbound Colorado Highway 119 will be closed overnight due to a crash that happened southeast of Black Hawk on Friday afternoon.

Colorado State Patrol told FOX31 that the call reporting the crash came in at 3:12 p.m. Two people were taken to the hospital, one via airlift.

According to CoTrip, the highway will be closed to southbound traffic from Black Hawk to U.S. 6 through the night.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said drivers can use Central City Parkway as an alternate route.

Details are limited as of Friday afternoon. SkyFOX flew over the scene, where a red pickup truck and a silver SUV appeared to have crashed head-on.
