On September 29, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a fatal hit-and-run crash in the 5900 block of Abrams Rd. The preliminary investigation determined an unknown driver of a white SUV was traveling southbound and struck a pedestrian near the intersection of Abrams Road and Northwest Highway. The vehicle was seen on surveillance video near the location and is believed to be a white Chevrolet Suburban with black rear doors and black trim pieces.
