Stars Kerry Washington, Jessica Alba, Glenn Close support Harris in Arizona

The Kamala Harris campaign is bringing Hollywood to Phoenix this weekend.

“Scandal” star Kerry Washington will campaign for Harris on Sunday alongside actors Jessica Alba, Glenn Close and Michael Early.

They’ll be in the state with Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, to launch voter canvasses.

The star-studded campaign event comes a day after “Alias” star Jennifer Garner’s trip to the state to stump for Harris in Phoenix and Mesa. The campaign has a month left before Election Day on Nov. 5, and public polls show a razor-thin race in battleground Arizona.

Washington played the role of Olivia Pope on the television show “Scandal,” a crisis manager in Washington, D.C., whose specialty was political scandals.

Washington’s trip is aimed at mobilizing Black voters, the Harris campaign said. Later in the day, she’ll attend a “Black Voters for Harris-Walz Block Party” with Ruben Gallego, the Democratic U.S. representative running for Senate. Former Attorney General Eric Holder and former Ambassador Susan Rice will be there, too.
