We are tracking more above seasonal temperatures across the area. As we start off the day, morning temperatures will linger in the 50s and low 60s. During the late morning/ early afternoon hours, winds will increase, becoming breezy between 15 to 20 mph from the southwest. Afternoon temps will warm up into the upper 80s and 90s. We are expecting Amarillo’s afternoon high temperature to tie with the record high of 92 degrees from 1934 and 2018. The dry weather will persist due to a broad ridge of high pressure over the region. Above seasonal temps will be present for the following week in the 80s and 90s. Have a great and safe weekend!
