North Carolina City Has Been Named to have the most stressed residents in The entire State

A new WalletHub study reveals that Fayetteville has the most stressed residents in North Carolina, ranking 32nd nationwide.

The study used data sets such as average weekly work hours, unemployment, and divorce rates to compare more than 180 American cities, including the 150 most populated cities and at least two of the most populated cities in each state.

“Where you live can play a big role in how stressed you are,” WalletHub analyst Cassandra Happe said in a news release. “When moving, it’s important to consider how a certain city may impact your mental health – not just your financial opportunities.”

Here are some statistics from the study.

Fayetteville ranks 24th in family stress, 30th in health and safety stress, and 43rd in financial stress, while surprisingly ranking 136th for work-related stress.

Cleveland was named the most stressed city in the U.S., followed by Detroit, Baltimore, Memphis, and Gulfport, Mississippi. Fremont, California, holds the title for the least stressed city, along with others like Fargo and South Burlington.
