BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — The City of Broken Arrow has started construction on the new Arrow Forge innovation district that the city believes will bring in cutting edge businesses that will contribute to the growth of Broken Arrow and its economy.
“The goal of Arrow Forge, essentially, is to build upon our strengths. I mean, we have some great advanced manufacturers, technology type companies and even have some aerospace companies and so what we would like to do is, we like to focus on what we’re good at, and that is finding those type of companies,” said Broken Arrow City Manager Michael Spurgeon. “The marketing and promotions for Arrow Forge is going to center around advance manufacturing, technology and possibly aerospace industry to try to bring those businesses over the next decade…Our goal over the next decade was to be able to bring in close to 1,000 jobs. That’s our actual goal, primary jobs that are going to help to continue to have the high-paying wages that you need to be able to support quality of life within your community.”
