The Washington Commanders have been one of the success stories in the early part of the season, racing out to a 3-1 record and looking good doing it .
While rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels deserves much of the plaudits, let’s not forget the work that head coach Dan Quinn has done for this team.
It was always going to be a season of development for Washington under Quinn, but when you succeed early on in your “rebuild,” it can be easy to get ahead of yourself.
Enter Quinn’s mindset.
“I try not to get too high or too low based on the wins and losses, but the one obsessive part that I do want is us to get better, and that’s the thing I would say, we chase the hardest,” Quinn said .
What is perhaps most striking about Washington’s fast start is that three of their four games this season have been on the road.
In the last two weeks, the Commanders have hit their stride, scoring 38 and 42 points in wins over the Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals.
And that is what has pleased Quinn more than anything.
