Along with serving in in the National Guard, Grassia was also a New York State Police trooper. His family said giving back is the best way to honor him.

“Our brother has touched so many lives, and we want his legacy to live on through his foundation and through the good that we intend to do for others, and with this foundation, we hope to keep his name and memory alive,” Grassia’s sister, Krista Rotondi, said.

More than 100 golfers participated in the tournament. The foundation also hosted a dinner and raffle.
