PHOTOS: Mass Ascension on the first day of 2024 Balloon Fiesta

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – After an initial yellow flag and a slight delay, the green flag was raised on Saturday morning for balloons to take flight. The start of the 52nd Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta was unusually warm.

On the first day of Balloon Fiesta, colorful balloons filled the sky in a mass ascension following the drone show and Chile Flight. The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta will run until October 13, 2024.
