STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Seven vehicle thefts were reported on the same day on Staten Island last week. Overall, the number of automobile thefts reported in the borough for the year through Sept. 29 was down 24% (266 vs. 352) when compared to the same period in 2023, according to the NYPD’s latest CompStat figures.
