Kyle McCord completed 40 of 63 passes for 355 yards and three touchdowns, while LeQuint Allen, despite battling through injuries, managed to rush for two scores in a thrilling win for Syracuse.
After the game, coach Fran Brown talked about his star performers.
Fran: Kyle’s a leader and I believed in that when we went to recruit him. As I sat down in his living room in December, and talked to him, and it was like right away I knew who he was, I knew what he was about. And I believe in myself. I have faith, like unbelievable in who I am because of the man above. I’m the head coach of the team and then Kyle McCord comes and it’s just like we’re not gonna flinch, and as long as he and I don’t flinch then everyone else will be on the same page.
