Heavy Showers & Thunderstorms Developing Across Parts of Florida

Heavy Tropical Showers Across Louisiana Bayou & South Texas

Good evening everyone. Numerous heavy showevers and thunderstorms are beginning to develop across many parts of Florida in conjunction with tropical energy that stretches from one side of the Gulf of Mexico, to the other.

Heavy downpours, gusty winds, frequent lightning, and some small hail have been observed down the west coast of central and south Florida, the Florida Keys, and up the east coast. Look for this trend to continue and intensify as time goes on and tropical energy begins to organize better, then move towards the state.

We’re also seeing some scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms across parts of the Louisiana Bayou and Delta areas, as well as south Texas. All of this energy is connected, and will eventually cause big problems for Florida’s west coast once again.

We could also see a severe weather component to this as time goes on, with damaging winds, frequent lightning, torrential rain, flooding, brief tornadoes, and waterspouts.
