A woman is alleging that a Mesa cop injured her after she argued with a Main Street motel manager over a bill and now wants the city to pay her $2 million. The attorney for Erma Ochoa filed the notice of claim, a precursor to a lawsuit, with the city Aug. 20. Mesa has 60 days to respond and if no action is taken, the claim is deemed denied. Ochoa’s attorney, Alejandro Barrientos, last week declined comment.
