Swinney Gives a Number of Injury Updates After FSU Game

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gave a number of injury-related updates following the 15 th -ranked Tigers’ 29-13 win over Florida State on Saturday night at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee.

Swinney said starting quarterback Cade Klubnik “just got shook up” in the first quarter when he took a hit while running the ball, and then missed the ensuing play before coming right back into the game.

“They made him come out to make sure he was OK,” Swinney said, adding that Klubnik has “gotta be smart” when running the ball, but “he’s also got to lead his team” and “that was a good play, but he bounced back.”

As for junior wide receiver Adam Randall, he didn’t play against the Seminoles, but Swinney said he was “ready to play” if needed – something Swinney was amazed by, considering Randall just had surgery on Sept. 23 to put a screw in his toe after suffering a stress fracture in his toe last month.

“I’m glad we didn’t have to play him, but he was here and ready to play,” Swinney said. “Just amazing to me. Absolutely amazing.”
