Sandy Paws Rescue Inc., a dedicated foster-based dog rescue in Massachusetts, recently introduced a dog named Amelia who watched her puppies find their forever homes, and now she’s ready for hers. “This young gal was a recent mama- all of her babies found homes and now it’s her turn to be spoiled!” Explains Sandy Paws Rescue, which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit rescue.
At just over two years old, this young dog is described as being sweet and gentle, making her “incredibly easy to fall in love with,” explains Sandy Paws Rescue. “She appreciates being close to her people, napping, or chewing on a bone. After a few minutes of whining, she settled in her crate for the night.”
Amelia’s foster home explains that she is friendly, curious, and gentle with the nervous senior resident kitty. She is also fostered with another dog, who she has been friendly towards and happily exists near. Although the two dogs have not played together yet, they will be seen “chewing together in harmony”.
Amelia is described as being treat-motivated and is potty trained with no accidents so far. When it comes to car rides, her foster family explains that Amelia was “unsure, panting and didn’t settle down during the 1+ hour ride to her foster home”. Amelia is gentle on leash and enjoys sniffing her surroundings, her foster family notes that with protective she will be a great walk buddy. Amelia has yet to meet any children.
