Heat Advisory in Effect as Triple-Digit Temperatures Grip California’s San Joaquin Valley

The San Joaquin Valley and surrounding areas are facing a prolonged period of hot and dry conditions, with a Heat Advisory in effect through 11 PM tonight. There is a 55 to 85 percent chance of triple-digit temperatures this afternoon, and while the odds decrease slightly on Monday, hot weather will persist.

Humidity levels remain low, particularly in the mountains and deserts, exacerbating heat risks. The Climate Prediction Center projects continued above-average temperatures for the next 6 to 14 days, with the hottest days expected today and Monday. Cooler conditions may arrive by next weekend, with a 60 percent chance of highs dropping to the mid-80s by Saturday, but no precipitation is forecast for the week ahead.
