It is not surprising that Walmart is the most popular grocery store in the United States and in Virginia because it has been the world’s largest company by revenue, according to the Fortune Global 500 every year since 2017.
Out of 500 grocery stores worldwide, Walmart came in at Number 1 in 2023 with a revenue of $612.3 billion. Walmart’s revenue so far in the last quarter of 2024 is $648.12 billion. That amount is already higher without the upcoming holiday sales at the end of the year.
