(FOX40.COM) — Folsom Lake unveiled a bench and picnic table dedicated to Kathryn (Katie) Hoedt, a woman who died from a rope swing in 2023.

On that fateful August day, Hoedt, 23, was involved in an accident that involved a 30-foot fall onto the shoreline near Rattlesnake Bar on Folsom Lake. Despite life-saving measures performed by friends, good Samaritans, and emergency personnel, she succumbed to her injuries.
