STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — A resident in south Stafford was in for a surprise on Saturday afternoon.

At 5:30 p.m., a Stafford County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a home on Phillips Street for an “uninvited guest” in a backyard.

Tiger has been at Fairfax County Animal Shelter for over a year; could he be the dog for you?

When the deputy arrived, she found that the homeowner had already captured the guest, a tegu lizard. Tegus are found in Central and South America.

As of Saturday night, the lizard, Dwayne “the Croc” Johnson, was resting at the animal shelter, awaiting his owner’s claim.
