Rudy’s Bar-B-Q goes pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT)— Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q have announced their annual Pink “Cup for a Cause” campaign with a brand new cup design.

Officials note that throughout the month, customers at Rudy’s locations in Amarillo, Lubbock, and El Paso can purchase the limited-edition pink cup for a $1 donation, with all the proceeds benefiting Panhandle Breast Health.

“We are incredibly grateful for Rudy’s ongoing support in raising funds for breast cancer organizations,” said Judy Neill, PBH Executive Director. “They play a vital role in raising awareness for smaller organizations like Panhandle Breast Health who are actively saving lives in our community.”

According to officials, PBH works to decrease breast cancer deaths in the Texas Panhandle by providing education, reducing financial barriers and increasing mammogram screening rates.

Officials further said PBH offers free mammograms to uninsured residents in the Texas Panhandle. So far this year, PBH has provided free breast screenings to more than 150 women.
