Anchorage police and SWAT responded to reports of an armed disturbance on the 4200 block of Greenland Drive Sunday morning. At 8:27 a.m. police responded to reports of an adult male having a mental health crisis. The Special Weapons and Tactics Unit (SWAT), Tactical Support Unit (TSU), the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT), and the Mobile Intervention Team (MIT), of the APD responded. The individual fired shots at officers before APD found them dead due to what seemed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. APD reports that no officers fired any shots.
