Slaggert was assigned to AHL Rockford on Sunday, Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago reports. Slaggert saw some time with the Blackhawks during the preseason but was unable to make the team’s Opening Night roster. However, he’ll likely be in the mix to be called back up if Chicago needs additional depth at some point.
