Pumpkins from around the state will face off for the state record, which is currently set at 1,823 pounds by Greg Kurkowski of Watertown, who died shortly after his win in 2021.

One giant pumpkin contender for this year’s competition will be coming from Parker. Kevin Marsh will weigh his giant, whose stems are still being watered to maintain weight.

Pumpkins will be weighed from 11 to 1 p.m. at Riverview Christmas Tree Farm in Canton, along with events for the farm’s pumpkin festival.
