Proceeds benefit Friends of the Animal Village and the dogs and cats that are still at the shelter in need of daily care and adoption.

Friends of the Animal Village volunteer spokesperson Betsy Robb said they occasionally see a pup who spent time at the Animal Village enjoying Doggie Paddle Day.

“It’s really, really refreshing to see those dogs out living life at a fun event like this, with their family,” Robb said. “It’s really inspiring and helps keep us going.”
