NORTH CAROLINA ( KFOR ) – Oklahoma Task Force 1 is continuing search efforts in North Carolina following Hurricane Helene.
According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, the task force continues searching through debris, conducting surveys, and even doing secondary searches in certain areas on foot, by boat, and on ATV.

“Their dedication ensures that every location is thoroughly covered. Morale is high as they recognize the vital role they play in supporting North Carolina’s emergency response teams.” said OKCFD.
Officials say the team has been in North Carolina for more than a week and plans on staying for another week to continue their efforts.
